Earlier this week, Duncan Castles reported Manchester United are interested in Porto’s Eder Militao.

It was a story certainly worth paying attention to because it was Castles who, way out ahead of anyone else, had the claim of Jose Mourinho’s club being keen on Diogo Dalot, also of Porto.

The Militao claims have continued in the Portuguese media, without them managing to add a great deal, but on Saturday it’s claimed Chelsea are also interested.

A Bola report the Blues ‘enter the scene’ for the Brazilian defender, and Maurizio Sarri is especially charmed by the defender’s qualities.

Chelsea’s manager has ‘signalled’ over the signing, and A Bola explain the club should have an advantage when it comes to the agents involved.

Fans of the London club will probably know the names Giuliano Bertolucci and Kia Joorabchian well, and the pair have worked on multiple Chelsea transfers over the years.

It will be they dealing with any Militao exit from Porto, and A Bola say Chelsea will have been informed there’s one condition for a transfer: They must pay the player’s €50m buyout clause or it simply isn’t happening.
