As fan outlets go, CulturePSG aren’t really ones to churn out the exclusives, so when they do, it’s always worth taking a look.

According to the French website, Chelsea made an approach to try and sign Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain recently, only to be met by a closed door with a message telling them to go look elsewhere.

Before trying to talk to the Ligue 1 champions, the Blues are reported to have made contact with the striker’s entourage, which we’re guessing went well if they then moved onto the club.

This story certainly fits the narrative that Chelsea are looking around Europe for a new striker following Alvaro Morata’s difficult first season at Stamford Bridge.

For the past couple of months, the Italian media have all united to try and send Gonzalo Higuain to London, a rumour which has gained even more traction now that Cristiano Ronaldo has arrived in Turin.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens, because until Alvaro Morata leaves, it seems unlikely that Chelsea will accommodate three first-team strikers, especially if the new one will be coming in expecting to start week in, week out.
