Estoril Praia’s Tiago Araújo has aroused interest from several clubs and Celtic are included in this list. This was reported in the Scottish press and it was also explained that Brendan Rodgers’ side are preparing an offer to bring him to Celtic Park in the winter market.

Operating as a left-back or left wing-back, he’s scored three goals and registered three assists from 23 games this season.

The 22-year-old’s form has caught the attention of various clubs but Celtic haven’t taken any concrete step to try to secure his services.

That’s according to O Jogo, who state Brendan Rodgers’ side haven’t made contact with the Portuguese club for the fullback so far.

Araújo has less than 18 months left on his deal and O Jogo state Estoril have no intention of letting him go this month for less than €4m.

Estoril signed the player from Benfica in 2022 and the report claims they will have to pay 50% of the fee earned from his sale to the Eagles.

O Jogo only state that Celtic haven’t approached Estoril and if they wish to sign Araújo, Brendan Rodgers’ side have been informed of the conditions needed to complete the transfer.
