The Italian side was linked to the player during the summer, although one of their directors denied they had bid for him.

But as Tuttosport claims the Italian side are now keeping an eye on other options, they say the offer for the Croatian was made and rejected.

According to the newspaper, Torino wanted a loan move with an option to buy, but Celtic didn’t accept it.

The Italian side didn’t try a permanent transfer because they were advised not to do so, since Simunovic’s physical condition is a concern.

Simunovic suffered a knee injury earlier this year which gave Torino doubts about his physical condition. On the flip, had he not had the injury and been able to impress more then he may be looking at better options than Torino.
