Fanatik report Fenerbahce are the only serious option for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge after Celtic decided to pull out of the race.

The Turkish newspaper insist Sturridge is the first choice of Fenerbahce manager Aykut Kocaman, and the Turkish giants have made progress since the start of the transfer window.

Fanatik say Celtic are no longer interested in Sturridge because Brighton target Moussa Dembele looks certain to stay at the club. There have been recent reports Sturridge could be reunited with Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.

Sturridge had the best spell of his career under Rodgers, but it now seems he won’t be heading to Celtic Park due to Dembele’s situation.

This makes Fenerbahce the only serious club interested in Sturridge say Fanatik, and the player reportedly wants to leave Liverpool in order to force his way into Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

Fanatik claim Fenerbahce will make a loan offer with a guaranteed buyout clause at the end of the season, and talks will continue between the two clubs.
