Even though Andreas Pereira has always made sure to say he wasn’t keen on returning to Manchester United this month, the midfielder’s situation at Valencia isn’t exactly the best.

The player may have been talking as if his loan spell in Spain was being a great success, but the local press keep demanding more from him day after day.

With the end of the transfer window approaching, website Deporte Valenciano has a story today confirming Pereira’s stay, and saying what to expect from the player for the rest of the season.

They claim it’s time for all the confidence put in him to be returned, as the last part of the season should be the time when he becomes a ‘real signing’.

Deporte Valenciano says that as a player of his quality, ‘he can and should give much more, and a lot must be demanded’.

The Manchester United loanee’s stats can’t help him either, and that’s why ‘this is not what he came for’.

So despite Andreas’ several signs of love for Valencia, and going against Jose Mourinho’s wishes, it seems that unless he becomes a real deal at the club, he won’t be remembered for snubbing a Manchester United return to stay at the Spanish side.

He needs to improve, and Red Devils scouts will certainly be monitoring that.
