Brentford goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha has been drawing some interest from Germany, according to local reports.

Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg today writes that Bayern Munich are interested in the 28-year-old.

The Bundesliga giants are looking for a new goalkeeper this summer, and the Brentford player is one of those on top of the list.

Even though Bayern Munich also have Giorgi Mamardashvili in sight, Strakosha is believed to be a cheaper option, and that makes him ‘interesting’ for them.

The German club are possibly losing Alex Nubel this summer, and as they don’t want to spend big on Manuel Neuer’s replacement, they’re looking for the best alternatives in the market.

The report doesn’t say how much Bayern Munich would pay for Strakosha, who’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €3.5m.

It’s been just a year since he arrived at Brentford following a free move from Lazio, and signed a contract with the Premier League side which runs until 2026.

We shall now wait and see how much the Bees will request for the move, especially with Bayern believing he’d be that cheap.
