Brighton and Hove Albion’s move for Facundo Buonanotte is ‘only a matter of time’ with the two clubs close to finalising a deal.

That’s according to La Capital, who follow up reports yesterday that Brighton were closing in on the talented youngster.

Three days ago, we covered a report that it was only a matter of time before the player moved to Brighton and it would take something extraordinary for it not to go through.

That was followed up by a report detailing the finer details of the potential move and La Capital follow that up today.

They say they details of the deal with Brighton ‘are still pending’ and while there is still no official information confirming the transfer it ‘seems to be only a matter of time’ before an announcement.

‘Something extraordinary’ would have to happen for the sale of Buonanotte to Brighton not to be finalised after talks in recent weeks.

Talks have been reactivated between the two clubs in that period after the first failed negotiations in the summer.

Brighton have upped their offer from then and Rosario Central will now receive more money when the deal is signed.

There are some other differences that are still being worked out, but the deal is now considered close in Argentina.
