Real Betis’ Juan Miranda has emerged as a target for Brighton & Hove Albion, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The left-back has a deal expiring in the summer and his future seems to be away from the La Liga side.

The Spain international has caught the attention of a few clubs, including Brighton and Ajax.

AC Milan have shown interest in acquiring his services and the report states he was one step away from agreeing a deal with them. The Serie A side had offered him a five-year deal and the two parties agreed the details of the contract.

TMW report that only the agreement was left to be formalised, before the Rossoneri changed their plans, after Zlatan Ibrahimović returned to the San Siro as an advisor.

The Swede is vital to Milan’s transfer plans and has stopped the deal for the 24-year-old. This has allowed Brighton to enter the picture as the player ‘is an idea’ for them. Milan dropping out of the race will be a boost for the Seagulls.

It’s further stated both Roberto De Zerbi’s side and Ajax have asked for information about a possible free signing in the next window.

Miranda has a goal and two assists from 25 games for Real Betis this season.
