Robin Olsen joined Everton at the beginning of last season on loan from AS Roma.

In Italy, there was an assumption that would be that, and the goalkeeper would remain at Goodison Park in the longer term. He also thought he’d be given a big chance to cement his place, which has become clear in comments shared with the media during Euro 2020, however, he wasn’t able to push Jordan Pickford aside.

Leaving Everton this summer for a return to Roma, the Serie A club are looking for a new home for the stopper, and Calciomercato believe Brighton & Hove Albion and Burnley hold an interest in the player.

Given Brighton have Robert Sanchez, currently with the Spain squad at the Euros, and Burnley have Nick Pope, there’s no obvious need at either club for a first choice goalkeeper.

Olsen clearly hasn’t been happy as second choice either at Roma or Everton, so it’s unlikely he’d be content with the same at Brighton or Burnley.

Nevertheless, Calciomercato believe there’s interest there.
