Brighton and Hove Albion striker Deniz Undav could complete his move to VfB Stuttgart today after already completing his medical.

That’s according to Stuttgarter Nachrichten, who say ‘if everything goes smoothly’ the striker will be signing for his new club at some point today.

A report earlier today indicated that Undav was close to sealing a loan move to Stuttgart after something of a disappointing year at Brighton following his move last summer.

SN back this up, stating that the striker is ‘about to sign a contract’ with the German side, joining on a season-long loan deal from the Seagulls. The Bundesliga side have also secured a purchase option, although the value of that isn’t mentioned.

According to their information, Undav completed the required medical checks at some point today and if everything goes to plan, he will officially be a Stuttgart player by the end of the day.

That will bring a temporary end to his short stint at Brighton, who he joined from Union SG last summer after the deal was done in the January transfer window last year.

He managed eight goals and one assist in 30 games for the club last season but less than 1000 minutes in total and it appears is now set to return to Germany to try and get back on track.
