Leicester City favourite Leonardo Ulloa has urged the club to stick by Brendan Rodgers despite their poor start to the season.
The Foxes find themselves in a relegation battle after just six games of the new season, having failed to win any of those games, losing five and draw one.
They’re currently on a run of five straight defeats in the league to boot and performances have not looked likely to improve any time soon.
This comes after a frustrating summer in which defender Wout Faes was their only major arrival, although a deal for the Belgian was only completed last minute because they were forced into selling Wesley Fofana to Chelsea.
All of this has heaped pressure onto Rodgers, with fans questioning his tactics and even the transfers that he has sanctioned in recent years as this Leicester squad is very much his.
“I think they have to believe in themselves,” he told Marca.
“During my time were having a pretty tough time, not just six games but 20 games in. What we believes in was the team, in the people we had. Above all the support of the board and the president and the coaching staff was vital, right?
“So, I think Brendan should stay on. I don’t think they should make a drastic change as is the case nowadays. It’s important they find a point where the team feels and move forward little by little.
“Start with not conceding goals, which is fundamental, and then be able to recover the spirit that the teams has always had of attacking, of pressing and pushing at the back. I don’t think they should lose that spirit.
“The other day I was very surprised because I saw them doing things they didn’t usually do. They didn’t make simple passes, but the lack of confidence they’re having because of the results leads to that.”
