According to Russian website Championat, Bournemouth are looking to sign Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Anton Miranchuk at the end of the season.

Miranchuk has been reportedly impressed Bournemouth with his performances so far this season, with Lokomotiv currently leading the race to win the Russian Super League.

Championat say Bournemouth’s chief scout Steve Gritt was present at the recent Europa League game between Nice and Lokomotiv to get a lowdown on Miranchuk.

Bournemouth’s Russian owner Maxim Deminis is giving consideration to signing the midfielder in the summer, and Championat report €7m should be enough for Bournemouth to sign the player.

It’s likely Bournemouth would have to maintain their Premier League status to have a chance of signing the player, and are currently five points off the drop zone.

The 22 year old has played twice for the Russian national team, and is expected to feature at this year’s World Cup in his home country.

Miranchuk is under contracted with Lokomotiv until 2021 and has scored one goal and made five assists this season.
