It seems Manchester City will have a really hard task if they want to sign Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich this summer.
Following the Bundesliga side’s qualification for the Champions League’s semifinals, German journalist Florian Plettenberg shares some news on the 21-year-old’s future.
The Sky Deutschland reporter writes that Musiala is ‘definitely not for sale’ this summer, as Bayern Munich president Max Eberl ‘won’t even consider’ any offers that arrive for him.
It’s actually claimed that ‘all the bosses have decided that’, as there’s ‘no price’ to take him from the Bundesliga side in the next window. They believe him to be the ‘focal point’ of their future and want to build their upcoming teams around him.
Plettenberg acknowledges that several clubs, including Manchester City, have Musiala on their summer list, and that may be a sign that bids will be made.
It’ll be hard to convince Bayern Munich, though, as the German side actually want to extend his contract.
Musiala is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €110m, and it seems Manchester City would have to offer much more to convince the Bundesliga giants.
