For the past two weeks, claims coming out of Italy have stated both Leeds United and Hull City are chasing Spezia Calcio goalkeeper Bartłomiej Drągowski.

On Thursday, TuttoMercatoWeb reported the Championship duo like the 26-year-old a lot. It was also explained that he will leave in the winter market and his exit would be a relief for the Serie A side due to his high salary.

Fussball Transfers journalist Dominik Schneider took to X, formerly Twitter, to provide an update on both Leeds United and Hull City.

Schneider says the Poland international won’t be joining the Tigers because of his salary of over €1m net per year, which is ‘too much’ for Hull City.

The journalist states it’s a ‘different story with Leeds United’, who are still interested in Drągowski. He adds the Whites ‘could make an offer’, if they were to cash in from Illan Meslier’s sale this month.

The Frenchman is currently the first-choice goalkeeper at Elland Road and Schneider says he is on Celta Vigo’s radar.

Over at La Nazione, they explain that ‘Leeds are strong’ on Drągowski, who has already declined a move to Cremonese.

Drągowski has kept three clean sheets and conceded 22 goals from 14 games this season. He hasn’t made an appearance since November as he lost his place at Spezia to Jeroen Zoet.
