Chelsea could come in with ‘a lot of money’ to snatch Dusan Vlahovic away from Juventus, just as they did to sign Romelu Lukaku from Inter.

That’s the opinion of journalist Riccardo Trevisani, who believes the Blues could easily come calling for Juve’s latest star.

It’s felt Thomas Tuchel may be on the hunt for a new striker this summer, with Lukaku having struggled to get anywhere near the level expected of a player who cost £100m plus last summer.

He’s expected to be moved on, perhaps back to Italy with Inter Milan, which would leave Chelsea in need of a new central forward to replace him.

Vlahovic is yet to be named as one they could look at, primarily because he has only just arrived at Juventus, who paid £73.44m to sign him from Fiorentina in the January transfer window.

That deal saw the Serbian star signing a four-year deal with the Italian giants, something they’ll be keen to ensure he sees out and possible extends, particularly if he can continue to score goals as regularly as he has done in the early days of his Juve career.

That would, of course, put him in sight of the more financially powerful teams in Europe, who were already aware of him as it was.

And Trevisani believes Chelsea could be one of those who will be keen to spend big to secure his signature, as they did with Lukaku in the last summer transfer window.

“Inter have played against great teams in recent years and have never won,” Inter-News report him saying.

“And we’re talking about a big team, whether it’s Antonio Conte’s or Simone Inzaghi’s. So we’re behind and you have to take that into account.

“So I wouldn’t be surprised if Chelsea came in with a lot of money to snatch Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus, as they did with Romelu Lukaku from the Nerazzurri, the Italian champions.”
