Having yet to find an agreement over a renewal at Chelsea, Andreas Christensen has been free to speak to other clubs in Europe for a few weeks now.

One of the clubs very keen to bring him in has been Barcelona, who are looking to add to their centre-backs in the summer, and it appears they have now have their man.

This comes via Spanish journalist Gerard Romero, who claims on Tuesday that there is a ’99% total agreement’ between Christensen and the La Liga side.

He makes it clear that the Chelsea player and Barcelona have ‘everything agreed’, and that the Denmark international ‘will play the next seasons at Nou Camp, barring a cataclysm’.

This appears to confirm previous reports that the parties were close, and so the Blues are now going to have to plan without Christensen going forward, meaning renewing the likes of Antonio Rüdiger and co. at the heart of Thomas Tuchel’s defence is becoming even more important.
