Barcelona and Real Betis agreed something of a joint deal to sign Emerson in 2019. He’s been at the Seville club since then, and if there’s a sale before the summer 2022 window the proceeds are split between the two clubs.
PSG have been heavily linked in recent days, partly down to the 22-year-old taking on new agents who have good connections with the French champions.
Barcelona have given those agents permission to initiate contact and build a deal, according to claims today.
Mundo Deportivo report, according to their own information, that Barcelona are ‘in the process of making a sale’, with other reports putting the potential value at around €25m.
Along that theme, there’s no huge push in the French media, on behalf of PSG, on Saturday either, so perhaps this one isn’t as far along the road as Mundo Deportivo suggest.
