Aston Villa have emerged as a new suitor to sign Juventus’ Federico Chiesa, according to a report from Italy.

Operating across all three positions up front and as an attacking midfielder, he managed four goals and six assists from 33 games last season. This has seen him attract interest from England, with the Villans now added to the list.

That’s according to Sky Italia, who say Aston Villa are now chasing the 25-year-old in this window.

It’s claimed Unai Emery’s side are ‘ready to offer’ €60m to the Turin club to secure the Italy international’s services.

Aston Villa have qualified for the Europa Conference League, the same competition which the Old Lady will play in next season. Emery’s side would have to convince the player, if they want to maintain hope of bringing him to Villa Park.

That’s because Sky claim Chiesa isn’t ‘enthusiastic’ about the possibility of joining the Premier League side.

These details are mentioned in the report that talks mainly about Newcastle being ‘very interested’ to sign Chiesa. Sky have warned them about the ‘competition from Aston Villa’.
