Aston Villa striker Wesley Moraes completed a medical with Levante yesterday ahead of his move to the Spanish club.

That’s according to Las Provincias, who say the Brazilian ‘passed without any problems’ as his loan is close to being finalised.

Levante pretty much confirmed their deal with Aston Villa for Wesley yesterday when they tweeted out a photo of him arriving at the airport holding a club scarf.

The deal is yet to be formally completed, though, with the necessary medical checks and final details still being worked on.

Las Provincias say there is no problem on that front, though, stating that Wesley went through a ‘thorough medical examination’ yesterday and passed with flying colours.

The Spanish club had been keen to completely check over the Aston Villa man as he has had physical problems that have ‘slowed down his career’ in the last couple of years.

They, though, appear to be ‘completely over’, and he now plans to ‘vindicate himself’ in La Liga on loan next season.

Alaves had also been keen on his signature and ‘fought for’ it in the last few days, but the project on offer at Levante has convinced the striker to go there.
