Premier League clubs appear to take it in turns to be linked with Sergej Milinković-Savić, and that’s been the case for years.

Manchester United have been repeatedly pushed forward, with others routinely getting mentions. In the summer, PSG were dragged into the picture, put alongside a long term interest from Juventus.

Now it’s Arsenal’s turn.

Mikel Arteta’s side are thought to be keen on recruiting a midfielder in one of the upcoming windows, and that sees them linked to the Lazio player.

CMW report Arsenal are ‘willing to do anything’ to secure a deal for the Serbian and have already been considering an offer to put on the table, wanting to start negotiations. The bid would consist of the permanent transfer of Albert Sambi Lokonga plus a cash amount.

The Belgian is said to be valued at €25m, and Arsenal would add a further €50-60m. Such a deal would ‘perhaps’ be enough to convince Lazio to finally sell their star midfielder.

Given all the claims which have been made about Milinković-Savić, it’s always easy to doubt the rumours. That said, he turns 28-years-of-age in February so his chances of a huge move, and for Lazio to get a huge fee, are surely decreasing.

Arsenal may be able to take advantage of that.
