Stoke City’s Joselu could be leaving the club in the final few days of the transfer window, as he doesn’t seem to be a part of Mark Hughes’ plans for the season.
Th Spanish striker hasn’t featured at all for Stoke City this season, and could be heading back to Spain.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Deportivo La Coruna are interested in signing Joselu. Deportivo are looking for a replacement for Lucas Perez, who is heading to Arsenal, and are hoping to complete a deal for Joselu.
However, Joselu’s wages could be an issue for the La Liga club, and it remains to be seen if an agreement could be reached before the August 31st deadline.
Marca say Mark Hughes isn’t counting on Joselu, and the player has dropped out of the squad picture.
The 26-year-old signed for Stoke City at the start of last season in a €8m deal from Bundesliga side Hannover, and managed to score 4 goals in 22 league appearances.
