As Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur continue in the battle for the signing of Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu, it’s obviously the Serie A side who benefit from the auction.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport today writes about the defensive pieces who could be sold by the club this summer, and the Japan international is the one who could give them more cash.

The outlet points out that Arsenal and Tottenham both want him, and ‘thanks to the London derby’, Bologna could now sell him for €20m plus bonuses.

It’s claimed that Tomiyasu ‘awaits the Premier League’, while the Serie A side already look for replacements in case he indeed leaves.

Tomiyasu has been linked to English clubs for months now, and the latest reports have been sounding confident that a deal could happen.

Just yesterday, Tutto Bologna Web had claimed that Spurs are expected to place a new bid, this time worth £20m.

Meanwhile, Arsenal seem to be moving a little slower, with reports last week saying the Gunners had been ‘testing the ground’ for the move.
