Late on Tuesday, Paris United published an article on their website claiming that Paris Saint-Germain had been in talks with Aaron Ramsey’s representatives about a potential move to Ligue 1.
Arsène Wenger, who knows Nasser Al Khelaifi well, was also said to have recommended the Arsenal midfielder to the decision makers at the French club as Thomas Tuchel had sought the former Gunners boss’ advice about the Welshman.
With Ramsey’s contract up in the summer, and Arsenal showing no sign of wanting to extend it any longer after failing to find an agreement with the player and his agents, this presents a good opportunity for Paris Saint-Germain, who could lose Adrien Rabiot to similar conditions.
However, it’s also worth pointing out not everything about Ramsey left the Ligue 1 champions impressed, as Paris United point out the player’s history with injuries has left Antero Henrique and co. with a few questions.
They state this, and it’s quite important if you’re going to be throwing a lot of money at a player, could have an impact on what they decide to do going forward.
While talks are taking place (even if they shouldn’t), Paris Saint-Germain cannot officially make a formal contract offer to the player until January 1st 2019.
Until then, these kind of stories are going to be popping up all over the place.
