It’s all of a sudden that Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe seems to have become a January target for AC Milan, as he’s now said to be ‘on top of the list’ for the Rossoneri’s window.

The information is brought by outlet Il Milanista, who claims that club director Federic Massara is willing to reinforce the team by signing a skilful player in the middle of the season.

The report is full of praises for Pepe, but also makes it clear that Arsenal haven’t been satisfied with what he’s shown since joining the club on a €80m move in 2019.

So Milan would now be interested in signing him especially because the situation makes the transfer possible for a ‘paltry’ fee. It’s said the winger could leave the Gunners for only €30m.

Since manager Stefano Pioli ‘wants him as early as January’, Milan’s chase for Pepe is expected to be made pretty quickly, as there are only few weeks left until the market is open again.

Il Milanista points out that the player’s 25 goals and 18 assists in 98 appearances for Arsenal isn’t a bad record, but that’s still not what the Gunners expected from him after spending such a large amount on money in the first place.
