Finally back from a knee injury, Sead Kolasinac got to experience his first minutes of football of the season before the international break in a 3-0 win over Qarabag Agdam in the Europa League.

That meant Unai Emery used Nacho Monreal pretty much week in, week out at the Emirates, which has worked well, as the Gunners are currently on a 10 game winning streak in all competitions.

However, if Calciomercato in Italy are to be believed, the Spanish manager is looking to the future, beyond the 32-year-old, as they claim he is ‘keeping an eye on’ Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico.

The Argentinian full-back has impressed greatly with the Eredivisie side since arriving from Independiente in January, and it wouldn’t be surprising if bigger clubs were already considering him for a transfer, perhaps even next summer.

That being said, the way Calciomercato present the information doesn’t exactly fill us with confidence, merely throwing it in a one and a half line article.

We’ve looked elsewhere, and can’t find anything else on it, meaning this must be their own material, but, normally, when that’s the case, they make a big deal out of it.

Either way, we’d recommend taking it with a pinch of salt for now.

We’re not saying it’s not true, but the lackadaisical approach suggests there isn’t much in it just yet.
