Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan has insisted he is not interested in leaving the club amid interest from Arsenal.
Jordan was linked with a move to the Emirates throughout last month, with a report at the end of December starting the links by claiming that their scouts had made moves for him.
This was followed by claims that the Gunners didn’t want to pay €30m for him and, then, another that they intended to offer €35m at some point.
That never happened, of course, with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta getting his creative midfielder in the shape of Martin Odegaard, on loan from Real Madrid.
His two assists in that game took him to six for the season, with three of those, and a goal, coming in his four games in La Liga.
That’s the kind of form that Arsenal will be more than aware of, but when asked about his future, the player says he’s not interested in leaving the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.
“I do not see myself outside of Sevilla, at all,” he told El Desmarque.
“And it is reality. The second year in Éibar I did see certain reasons to go away, but now I am in a spectacular club, with ambition, with demand and that is what my body asks for.
“It is the ideal place to keep improving and do great things club. I am delighted to be here and my mind is here.”
