Greek newspaper Sportime report Arsenal are interested in signing Olympiacos defender Ousseynou Ba.

It’s reported the Senegalese defender first caught the eye of the Gunners during Olympiacos’ two Europa League games against them, and they have been following him closely since. The Greek giants knocked Arsenal out of the competition.

The Greek source claims Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be in the market this summer to sign a defender as he looks to strengthen his backline.

Sportime state the north London side are looking to sign a defender who has room for development, and they see Ba as an ideal candidate.

However, Olympiacos are said to be looking to get at least €20m from the sale of the 24 year old which could make things a bit complicated for the Premier League side.

Ba has made 18 appearances for the Greek club in all competitions this season. His contract with Erythrolefki will expire at the end of June 2023.
