It is ‘natural’ for Manchester United to be interested in Napoli defender Kim min-Jae, but a January move is unlikely.
That’s according to journalist Beppe Bruscolotti, who says the centre-back is deserving of the attention he is currently being given.
Kim arrived at Napoli in the summer as a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly, who left to join Chelsea after eight years in Naples.
His absence has not been felt thanks to Kim, who has quickly established himself as a key player in Lucian Spalletti’s side with a number of impressive performances.
His displays have not gone unnoticed, with reports in England stating that Manchester United are now keen on him and even thinking of paying his £45m release clause.
It has since been explained that they can’t do that in the January transfer window as his release clause doesn’t activate until the summer.
Manchester United’s interest is covered nonetheless, though, and Bruscolotti is not surprised by that fact.
“Kim? I heard the news about a supposed interest from Manchester United,” Napoli Piu report him saying.
“For what he is showing, the appreciation of this club is natural. He is an attractive player; his eventual transfer will then depend on many factors.
“These are situations that will be monitored later. Kim has found the ideal environment; I don’t think he will say goodbye to the club in January.”
