On October 17th, we covered a report from Mundo Deportivo, who claimed that Neymar keeps offering his services to Barcelona, more than a year after he left the Camp Nou for Paris Saint-Germain.
It was also suggested the La Liga winners view the signing of Brazilian as ‘not impossible’, but will only try to sign him if the sporting leaders and coach request to make an approach for the forward.
Marc-André ter Stegen played alongside Neymar for three seasons and won several trophies together with the Catalan club, including the Champions League in 2015.
The German goalkeeper gave an interview to Mundo Deportivo and during the course of the interview, he was asked about the recent rumour linking the South American star to Ernesto Valverde’s side.
“The good thing is that you are the ones who inform. I do not know what will happen to Neymar, I can only say that I have a good relationship with him. In the end, having the best in your team is always good, but I’m not going to get into things like these,” he explained.
When further quizzed if he would like to see Neymar back at Barcelona, Ter Stegen said: “The answer is easy because every team wants to be the best…”
There has been a pattern in the past where Barcelona players talk about those who are linked with the Blaugrana and it should be seen if we will have more these in the future, talking about the possibility of the PSG attacker rejoining the Spanish champions.
