Two days ago, we relayed news from Italy that Tottenham Hotspur’s Japhet Tanganga prefers a move to Torino over other clubs.
On Thursday, Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari explained that the defender will make a decision on his future in the next few hours as he was torn between Lyon and FC Augsburg.
The Tottenham player has finally made a decision if a report from Calciomercato.it is to be believed.
Despite being one step away from the Turin club, it’s claimed the 24-year-old has decided to join Augsburg.
The report further claims the Bundesliga side have reached an agreement with Tottenham for a loan deal [€1m loan fee] with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. This could be linked to a certain number of appearances or Augsburg avoiding relegation this season.
Tanganga will undergo medical tests on Friday and then sign a contract with the German club. This report was covered by journalist Raffaele Amato, who took to Twitter to add the obligation to buy is set at €9m.
Tanganga made seven appearances in all competitions last season and would be hoping to enjoy more game time this season at Augsburg.
#Tanganga leaves #Tottenham for #Augsburg. Loan deal (€ 1m) with obligation to buy (about €9 million) if the german club remains in the Bundesliga or achievement a certain number of appearances. Medical test tomorrow. @calciomercatoit #CMITmercato https://t.co/91vlV1oPB2
