Dani Olmo was part of Spain’s squad that won the Euro U21 championship over the weekend and is now, reportedly, attracting interest from Manchester United.

Sportske Novosti say that after the independent English sources reported the Red Devils’ interest in the Dinamo Zagreb winger, they decided to contact his agent Andy Bara.

He laughed at the question and then said “At this point I can’t comment on it!”

The Croatian outlet goes on to state that whenever they ask for any information, Bara has always responded with “yes” or “no”, but not in the 21-year-old’s case.

As per the information, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are willing to pay €40m for the wideman.

Despite the interest from United, it does not mean Olmo will end up at Old Trafford as there are several clubs from England – Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal – Germany and Italy chasing the player. His preferred destination is either the Premier League or the Bundesliga.

Bara says, “Serious talks start from today, ultimately decided by Dinamo and Olmo, of course.”

“I send all interested clubs to Dinamo and when the clubs agree a fee, I will come to agree on the conditions for Dani.

“Dani can play for any club as he has already showed this at the Euro U21s. When we are talking about Manchester United, they have no such player as Olmo.”

Olmo was largely used by Dinamo as an attacking midfielder last season, drifting to the left. He scored 12 goals and registered nine assists in 44 matches.

He scored three goals and registered one assist for Spain’s U21 side, including a goal in the final against Germany.
