Shakhtar Donetsk’s Georgiy Sudakov has been linked with a host of European clubs in the past few months and it seems as if Bournemouth have also joined the race for him.
The Ukrainian attacking midfielder has scored 13 times in all competitions this season, assisting six times.
AreaNapoli have taken stock of his situation and they state that while Napoli have been in contact for the player, Bournemouth have also been on the 22-year-old’s trail ‘for months’ now.
The report believes that Shakhtar Donetsk want to sell the player and earn from his sale as soon as possible, which is why they’re trying to fuel speculation about him regularly.
The outlet add more detail to Bournemouth’s interest, revealing that the Cherries highly regard the Ukraine international but to advance further in talks, they would have to make some sales.
The two players that could depart are Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen. If they leave, it would give Andoni Iraola’s side enough financial room to move for Sudakov in the summer.
Napoli have previously had an offer of up to €40m rejected, which suggests that Bournemouth will have to offer more than that.
