Blackburn Rovers and Luton Town have FC St. Gallen’s Willem Geubbels on their agenda for the summer window.

Fussball Transfers covers the Championship duo’s interest in the striker, after pointing out their failed efforts to sign him in the winter market.

Blackburn Rovers and Luton Town made bids for the 23-year-old in January. The Swiss club rejected them and there’s no mention of the details of the offers.

The Frenchman starred for St. Gallen this season, scoring 15 goals and registering two assists from 37 games. He’s their top scorer and third in the Swiss Super League.

Geubbels’ performances haven’t gone unnoticed as the report states the two English clubs are ‘still interested’ in him. Union Berlin are also in the mix and are in contact.

Blackburn Rovers and Luton Town have to be wary of the competition from Germany. The report explains several unnamed Bundesliga clubs have made informal approachs, likely to ask about the cost of signing the frontman.

Geubbels’ contract expires in 2027 and Fussball Transfer report St. Gallen are aware that they won’t be able to retain him beyond this season.

Blackburn Rovers are ninth in the table while Luton Town are in 22nd spot, level on points with 21st placed Derby County.
