According to a claim in the Italian media. Atalanta are close to redeeming Aston Villa goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini.
The Villa player is currently on an 18 month loan deal with the Serie A side.
Gazza Mercato have reported Gollini is expected to sign for Atalanta on a permanent deal in this transfer window after impressing the Italian side’s manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
It’s been revealed Atalanta can redeem the youngster for €3.5m and it seems his short stay at Aston Villa is coming to an end.
The same source also reports Atalanta will listen to offers for Gollini’s rival Etrit Berisha. The Albanian has predominantly been the club’s No.1 during the Aston Villa loanee’s time at the club.
Gollini signed for Aston Villa in 2016, and started that season as Roberto Di Matteo’s number one. However, after Steve Bruce was brought in Gollini eventually lost his place in the Aston Villa starting eleven, and was subsequently loaned to Atalanta.
The 23 year old in the past said he would like to remain at Atalanta for a long period of time.
