Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has told the Italian media he’s flattered to be linked with a club like Juventus, and that he’ll make a decision over his future in the near future.
The Italy international has seen himself frozen out by Jose Mourinho in the second half of this season.
Calciomercato have reported on comments the Manchester United player made to Sky Italia when asked about Juventus interest: “Juve is a great club and I am happy such an important club is interested in me, I have my goals in mind, and we will certainly make the necessary evaluations in due course.”
Signed by Louis van Gaal from Torino in 2015 he was a regular under the Dutchman in his first season at Old Trafford.
However, this season he’s hardly figured under Mourinho with the Manchester United boss preferring Antonio Valencia as his first choice right back.
Darmian hasn’t started a Premier League game since the 0-0 draw against Liverpool in October and has played just 15 minutes this year in the league.
This has led to speculation the 28 year old could return to Italy in the summer with Juventus one of the clubs reportedly interested.
