Benfica are reportedly coming strong for the signing of the Manchester City youngster Javairô Dilrosun this summer.

As reported by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, the Eagles are currently in conversations with the player, and even made him an offer to move to Lisbon in the next transfer window.

Dilrosun’s contract with Manchester City expires next summer, and even though the club made him an offer to stay, the winger has reportedly said no.

The reason for the refusal would be that he hasn’t been promised he will have chances under Pep Guardiola. That’s why Benfica would have an advantage, since the Portuguese side have a tradition of giving youngsters more opportunities.

Benfica have not only made the player an offer, but also invited him to visit the club’s facilities, something he already did at the weekend. He also watched the Eagles’ 5-0 win over Marítimo.

Regarding the competition, all O Jogo knows comes from different media outlets. They’ve read that Liverpool, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Valencia would all be in the race as well.
