Over the summer, after a long drawn out saga, Inter were the ones to finally get their hands on Caen’s Yann Karamoh.

The young French forward was the subject of a lot of interest from Premier League sides, namely Everton and Southampton, but now it’s Stoke City looking at him for the January transfer window.

Corriere dello Sport state there’s a good chance the 19-year-old could leave on loan in the coming weeks, having failed to show Luciano Spalletti enough to deserve a regular spot in the first-team, and bet365 Stadium is one of his possible destinations.

Mark Hughes’ side, in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, are joined by Marseille and a couple of Serie A clubs (Bologna and Benevento) in the tracking of the right winger.

This, we assume, would only be for the remaining six months of the season.

It’s a complicated deal, especially considering Karamoh is still technically on loan from Caen as Inter still haven’t activated the €5.5m buy-out clause.

Unless they do pay the Ligue 1 side that money (because they want him for the future), then he can’t leave for Stoke on loan.

Either that or Caen cancel the loan, send him to Stoke and then send him back on loan to Inter when his time with the Potters comes to an end at the end of the season.

Yes, our head hurts too.
