Turkish website Ajansspor claim Fenerbahçe are interested in West Ham United attacker Marko Arnautovic.
Ajansspor say Fenerbahçe officials are aware of Arnautovic’s potential availability, and they’ve invited the 28 year old’s representative to Istanbul for talks.
Fotospor have also reported on Fenerbahçe’s meeting with Slaven Bilic’s brother Domagoj Bilic last week, and during their talks Domagoj allegedly said to Fenerbahçe officials he will help the club sign Arnautovic from West Ham.
It’s reported Fenerbahçe officials will meet with the player’s agent next week with regards to discussing a potential deal for the West Ham player.
Arnautovic signed for West Ham for a club fee of £24m in the last window, but the Austria international has been unable to replicate the form he showed at Stoke City in recent seasons.
Fenerbahçe could offer him an escape route, but it’s likely West Ham would demand a big fee for the player, given what they paid for him last summer.
Marko Arnautovic had a better game for West Ham against Leicester City, and it may be just as hard to persuade the player on the transfer as it would be to persuade West Ham. Unlikely all round.
