Yesterday it was claimed in the Swedish media that Leeds United are showing an interest in Malmo forward Pawel Cibicki.
The Championship side could be looking to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes, following the recent departures of Chris Wood and Souleymane Doukara.
Sportbladet report Leeds United have tabled an offer in the region of 15m Krona for Cibicki, which equates to about £1.5m. Leeds United are currently in talks with Malmo to sign the 23 year old before next week’s deadline.
It’s unlikely the forward would be a like for like replacement for Wood, but would be brought in as a squad player. Leeds United have also signed Jay Roy-Grot from NEC in recent days, as the club look to strengthen in attack.
Leeds United aren’t the only club to be linked with Cibicki this summer after claims others have been watching the forward.
Sportbladet claimed Napoli, Real Betis and Alaves have all been following Cibicki, with the player seen as one of the hottest properties playing in Sweden.
