A new one, or maybe an old one returned.
In March 2016, both Tottenham and Arsenal were linked with Alfred Duncan, who had recently moved to Sassuolo from Sampdoria.
The transfer rumour really didn’t get off the ground and Duncan certainly isn’t one of the players most linked to Tottenham over the past year or so.
It would appear he’s now back, a fresh rumour for the end of the transfer window, all packaged up and presented by Tuttomercatoweb.
The Italian newspaper claim an exclusive on Monday, saying Tottenham and Inter Milan have both made initial contact with regards to signing the midfielder.
On a contract until June 2020, Duncan would cost Tottenham or Inter €15m, according to the Italian claims.
It’s short and to the point from TMW, and it will be interesting to see if this one goes the same way it did last time… not very far.
What should help the rumour is the expectation Tottenham are to spend, and that Duncan is a fresh new target.
