Nottingham Forest are among the clubs in the race to sign Union Berlin youngster Levis Asanji this summer.

That’s according to Bild, who state the ‘top talent’ is being courted by Nottingham Forest, Juventus and Lecce.

The 18-year-old is yet to make his first team debut for the Bundesliga side, but his displays for their youth teams haven’t gone unnoticed.

Last season, the striker starred for Union Berlin U19s, scoring 11 goals and registering 11 assists from 26 league games.

Nottingham Forest, the Old Lady and Lecce, along with several clubs from Austria, have shown interest in the Germany U18 international. Juventus have taken further steps by starting talks over a potential deal.

Bild report Union Berlin recently exercised an option to extend the young star’s deal until 2025. They have a desire to retain him, but it won’t be easy because the German club’s first team already has several strikers.

This is the ‘big problem’ for Union Berlin to hold on to Asanji, also because they don’t have a U23 team. Therefore, Asanji’s exit is ‘getting closer’ and Juve seem to be ahead of the Reds and others.

Nottingham Forest have to act quickly and convince Asanji, if they want to sign the ‘top talent’.
