VfB Stuttgart continue to move forward to keep Brighton & Hove Albion striker Deniz Undav at the club.

A fresh report from Sky Deutschland claims there’s now a ‘verbal agreement’ between the Bundesliga side and the player.

It’s said they agreed on a three or four-year contract, and that should be signed soon as the permanent move from Brighton is sorted.

It was never a secret that Undav would like to stay at Stuttgart following the loan spell he’s had.

The striker joined the German side last summer, scoring 19 goals and contributing ten assists in 33 appearances during his loan.

Stuttgart are believed to have a buying option worth around €20m, but the word in the German media had been that they were trying to get the signing done for less.

Since Undav had a very good season and is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €25m, it remains to be seen whether Brighton will really give a discount for his sale.

Now as the personal talks have moved forward to a point there’s an agreement, perhaps the clubs are not that far from a deal.
