Over the past few weeks, we’ve covered multiple claims from the Italian media discussing Newcastle United’s interest in Juventus’ Dean Huijsen.

The Magpies have started to make movements in recent days to gather more information about the defender.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who provide the latest on Newcastle’s pursuit of the 19-year-old.

The Spain U21 international, who spent the second half of the 2023/24 season on loan at AS Roma, has no future at the Turin club.

Juve technical director Cristiano Giuntoli and manager Thiago Motta have agreed to sell the centre-back, as long as there’s an offer of at least €30m.

The Old Lady will use these hours to analyse the interest received for the youngster and inform them their demand to sanction his sale.

Tuttosport say Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund and Girona are three clubs ‘at the window’ to sign Huijsen. It’s claimed Giuntoli is ‘maintaining close relationships’ with Eddie Howe’s side and BVB.

Huijsen can play in the Champions League next season if he were to join BVB or the La Liga side, while Newcastle have failed to qualify for Europe.

Howe’s side will have to convince Huijsen to stand a chance of securing his services this summer, but he certainly looks like an interesting signing.
