TivibuSpor commentator Onder Ozen has revealed Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho dreams of one day managing Fenerbahce. Ozen, who’s presented as a close friend of Mourinho, said his Portuguese colleague certainly wants to manage Fenerbahce at some stage of his career.

Ozen, who’s also worked as Chief Analyst at Fenerbahce said: ”When Fenerbahce signed Vitor Pereira as a coach Mourinho told me: ‘What? Is this real? This is a very bad move.’ I can assure you that managing Fenerbahce one day is one of the projects of Jose’s mind. He’s always asking me about Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim. ‘Is he alright? Is he going to continue’ or something like that. Mourinho certainly is thinking about Fenerbahce as one his future clubs.”

Manchester United’s manager came close to managing Fenerbahçe before his move to Porto as he said in his press conference before Fenerbahçe’s clash with Manchester United this season: “Fourteen years ago I received an offer, but nothing since then, but of course I would like to manage here in Turkey.”

Mourinho joined Manchester United in the summer, with the jury is still out on his first season with the Premier League side. Struggling to make the top four after the weekend’s results, Manchester United’s best hope making next season’s Champions League is via the Europa League.

However, with injuries to key players it looks like winning the Europa League will not be straightforward for Manchester United and Jose Mourinho..
