It’s no secret West Ham United are actively looking for a striker in the transfer market.

Reports in Italy had claimed West Ham agreed a fee of €30m with AC Milan for Carlos Bacca, although that might not be true.

According to the latest report from Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, West Ham have offered €25m for the player, which could soon rise to €30m including bonuses.

It sounds like the Italian newspaper are taking a step back on the potential transfer, until they say his agent Sergio Barila is expected to be in London today to discuss personal terms.

West Ham have reportedly offered the player €3.5m a season, but his agent could ask for €4.5m-€5m a season.

Bacca would ideally want to return to Spain, with Atletico Madrid interested, but he isn’t a priority for them. The Colombian international scored 18 goals for AC Milan last season, and the Serie A club are happy to cash in on the player.
