As Bayern Munich continue to work on their plan to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, the German media today bring details about the ‘mega contract’ they’re offering the player.
It’s Sport Bild who highlight a story about the ‘big vote of confidence’ that the Bundesliga giants are about to put on the table.
Even though Kane is turning 30 this month, they’re offering him a contract for four years, ‘possibly’ five years.
Regarding his salary, it’s claimed he’ll ‘certainly’ be offered over €20m per year, which is the same that Sádio Mane got when joining them last summer.
The ‘mega deal’ Bild refers to is possibly even causing ‘debate’ at Bayern Munich, the report says. That’s because of Kane’s age.
Players over 30 only get one-year extensions from the club. Kyle Walker, who’s 33 years old and pursued by them, should only get two years plus an optional extra one. Therefore, Kane would be a big exception to their unwritten rule.
As for the talks with Tottenham about the transfer fee, the outlet brings no updates this time, as the German club seem more focused on convincing the striker for now.
That’s likely to be in the hope of making him press Spurs over the move.
