Manchester City owners ‘ready to invest’ in another club’s project- Talks already underway, player discussed

Manchester City’s owners, the City Football Group, could be part of a deal to help fund Roma’s new stadium.

That’s according to Roma Giallorossa, who say the potential €600m investment in the stadium has not gone ‘unnoticed’ by the Abu Dhabi group.

They report, via an exclusive on their website, that the City Football Group, who own Manchester City and various other clubs round the world, are ‘ready to invest’ in the deal for Roma’s new home.

The deal is seen as ‘too tempting to pass up’ and should those in charge of Roma obtain all the permits required in the administrative process then the group could enter into the deal with a ‘minority stake’ as one of the sponsors for the construction of the stadium.

Talks between the two parties are already underway and there is a ‘synergy’ between the two parties, so much so they’re also now discussing players as well.

At the top of the list is Savio, who is currently at Troyes but spent last season on loan at PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

He has been ‘proposed’ to Roma in talks between the two parties in recent months, which has seen them cover a number of topics, including investing in the stadium.

The collaboration could pick up in the coming weeks and months and perhaps other players, even some at Manchester City, will be proposed as part of it. Either way, it’s a situation to keep an eye on.
