Chelsea didn’t really have many difficulties beating West Ham away at the Olympic Stadium last night.
With goals scored by Eden Hazard and Diego Costa, the Blues managed to open a comfortable lead and only conceded one during injury time.
“I think they feel it a lot,” the player told reporter João Castelo Branco. “They are always a tricky team to play, it’s always difficult to win. On their pitch, every game was a tough game.
“Here, they feel it a little, because they were used to that stadium for years. To come to a field of this size, with the crowd farther away, they can’t feel that heat and don’t have that precision.
“So I think that for us, or any other team that comes to play here, it’s a neutral field, because they’re not used to playing here, neither are we, so it’s a head-to-head match.”
Since moving to the Olympic stadium at the start of the season, West Ham have a record of eight wins, three draws and eight defeats in all official competitions.
The East London club are currently in 11th place on the Premier League table. If we considered home matches only, they would drop to 15th place, as they’ve only managed five wins out of 14 matches so far.
