Nottingham Forest have been told they need to offer at least €30m if they wish to sign striker Vitinha from Sporting Braga.
That’s according to Correio da Manhã, who say that Forest offered €19m for the striker but saw the bid quickly rejected.
The newspaper explains that Nottingham Forest made their bid for the striker this month as they look to bolster Steve Cooper’s squad and cover an injury to Taiwo Awoniyi.
That led to Portugal and Vitinha, who has seven goals and three assists in 17 games in Liga Portugal this season.
Because of that they rejected the €19m offer from Nottingham Forest. They Premier League club ‘want to know under what conditions’ Braga would let the striker go and threw that figure ‘on the table’ but it was ‘promptly rejected’.
Whether Forest will return with another bid or even match his clause isn’t mentioned but they do face competition for his signature, with four clubs sending scouts to the last few games at Pedreira.
Nottingham Forest may want to move quickly to secure his signature then, although they’ll need to seriously up their offer if they are to do so.
